Bonjour les autres lecteurs! Hello fellow readers!

I recently flew off to a place of wonder... no, not Agrabah. Paris, known as the city of love. This place is filled with beauty, history and has so many things to see. I have never traveled so far before in my life. 23 hours flight in total across the sky and ocean. After three hours and fifteen minutes of coach ride from Canberra to Sydney, then eleven hours flight, the stopover to Beijing was no picnic. I had no idea of the language and as usual, my nerves hit panic and I was worried I would not make my flight as the line was long and the check-in took an hour and a half. Luckily, I made it through to the boarding gate with no hassle. Then, I was off again but this time, making a final destination to Paris. The excitement started to kick in. Except I was not expecting something else that would knock me back a little. Jet lag. Our biggest enemy. On arrival, I don't know why by in a foreign place I didn't feel so out of place. I felt astounded by everything around me. I had the curiosity to explore. But low and behold, jet lag decides to suck all my energy and leave me rather dilapidated. I grabbed a taxi and hauled my way to the hostel. I could not help but drop onto the bed. I was absolutely exhausted from sitting on my arse for so long.

After hitting refresh, the next few days, I went to see Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Champs Élysée, the Louvre museum, Châtelet, Bastille, Notre Dame Cathedral, Sacré-Coeur and Parc des Buttes-Chaumont. They were such beautiful places to see. I bought a Paris pass which allows access to all these gorgeous sights. Sacré-Coeur is not for the light-hearted. You need to be quite active to pursue this venture. There are a lot of stairs! No kidding. If you are not active like me, you'd feel like the dead barely half way lol. But worth the pain to see such beauty. Beauty and pain go hand in hand my friends.

I went to two different brasseries in Paris. The first one I tried escargots for the very first time. It was delicious. I felt like it melted in my mouth. The butter they mixed with, masked the slugs very well. I was expecting to be disgusted but was amazed.

At the second brasserie, I tried frogs legs. Yummy! Taste like fish. It was exceptional. You gotta try the French delicacies. You won't be disappointed. The only thing I couldn't finish was the huge ice cream in a tall Chantilly glass cup! OMG! Too big to finish! But even just a few bites... Yum!

Here is a picture of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. I'm still currently in Paris, so I will show you more pictures once I return home.

But for now, that's all from me, until next read... Á toute à l'heure! See you later!
