His mother begs for help from the reverend. And they finally meet.
They return home and things are different. Something's wrong with Lino's knee and it turns out to be cancer, leiomyosarcoma. He goes through treatments and surgery. Things seem to go well for awhile. They decide to adopt Idahlia and the cancer returns. This time things don't go well. Amy and Idahlia loses Lino. Amy has a hard time pulling herself back together. She fulfills her promise to take his ashes back home to Castelleone. His mother gives her titles to own a home, so she has a place for her and Idahlia but that upsets her because she feels she doesn't belong here.
