Dear fellow readers,

Warning: Spoilers Alert!

"It Ends With Us" movie based on a book, written by Colleen Hoover hits home for me. It's a beautiful riveting movie. Lily Bloom meets Ryle and begins a whirlwind romance.

She opens a flower shop and assisted by his sister, Allysa.

As their relationship deepens, she grapples with her past; her tumultuous relationship with her father and her childhood experiences.

She encounters her first love, Atlas and things take a turn with Ryle. "Accidents" began occurring and they leave her feeling confused. She thinks they were nothing. The third time he hurts her, it triggers a memory from a time when witnessed her mother being hurt by her father in the same way. Held down roughly no matter how much she begged for him to stop. She has no choice but to forcefully push him off her and run to Atlas for help. He protects and comforts her.

She's pregnant with their daughter and she realizes she has a big decision to make. When she conceives, she asks Ryle for a divorce. He tells her he will change and get help. She asked him what would he do if their daughter comes to him and tells him that the man she loves hurts her? Pushes her down the stairs and said it was nothing. Tells her he will change and get help. What would he do? He tells her, I would tell her to never return to him. Right then, he understood. As much as it pains him, he knew Lily must do the right thing for herself and her daughter. Hence why it is called, It Ends With Us.

The vicious cycle ends when someone decides it ends.

It hits home for me because I had a bad marriage. My ex husband never laid his hand on me but he emotionally abused me. That's just as bad. I lost all sense of myself. I was in a similar situation like her. Having to accept what happened, love him even though he hurt me, trying to convince him everything is fine. It was nothing. Had to talk sense to him and make him see to please him. It was also scary until I found my courage and that darkness ended. I, too had to make a hard decision to make a better life for myself. And I also had a first love to rekindle with during separation. This movie was worth watching and relatable. It's a must! Until next read... ciao!
